Nick_Good
I woke up this morning to find this in one of my flower beds. I believe it is Meripilus sumstinei, (Black-staining Polypore). I bruised it this morning and when I came back this evening it was black where I touched it.

Evan
These grow every year on a stump behind my house.
wurdmeister
We found a large cluster of these about three weeks ago. IT was the first time I've tried them. I was a bit put off by the black staining that didn't improve with cooking.
Old Oak
Those grow everywhere near me. I found over a dozen sights with dried up mushrooms thinking they were hens one of my first winters shrooming, only to find they were these the next year...neat mushroom, but still devastating.
