Dave W Posted October 10, 2015 Report Share Posted October 10, 2015 I agree this isn't Laccaria amethystina. But it isn't a Blewit either. Grainy scaly cap surface rules this out. I think this may be Cortinarius violaceus, except this type usually has an enlarged stalk base. Photos showing additional features would help.
