John Smalldridge
4rum, you are a oyster finding machine! Lots of oysters here too, I'm just too lazy to photograph, pick, clean and cook them all. I'm really enjoying the oysters second hand through your posts and enthusiasm. Keep it up. 4rum
John, this is my first year of really harvesting oysters. Never looked for them in late fall or winter. With this patch of poplar blow downs at exactly the right stage, it's been a real gift... and these darn things are GOOD! eat-bolete, the weather here wiil most likely provide me with at least one more flush. I left enough yesterday for on more dinner. I hope to sneak out Christmas day or the day after to check again. Hope you're finding some in your area. I doubt I'll ever see another year like this. Still looking forward to morels in about 4 months though.
