I have enjoyed cooking and eating mushrooms since a young age. I was taught by some excellent chefs on the various methods of preparing mushrooms and have played with many concepts since.

While I have always been fascinated with the idea of picking my own mushrooms, it was not until a week ago that chance happened upon my front lawn, and an older Italian gentleman asked if he could park there, we struck up a conversation, he invited me to join him forraging, and 2 hours later I emerged with 10 lbs of Elm Oysters and a wealth of knowledge.

I feel like a kid on a never ending treasure hunt....oh what great fun!
