MasonClark93 Posted September 26, 2014 Report Share Posted September 26, 2014 I just stumbled upon this forum a few days ago and with approval of the admin, I am now a new member! My name is Mason and I am a student of environmental biology and mycology at the College of Environmental Science and Forestry in the Finger Lakes of New York State. I've become more and more involved with fungi and hunting wild edible mushrooms for the past few years, but it wasn't until these past few months that I've really been able to really get out there, go on a few forays with some professor mycologists, and get a taste of the sweet life of mushrooms! I have also been working on farming shiitakes (Letinus edodes) this past year using preinoculated birch plugs, so that is a new project of mine that I want to expand upon.
