John Smalldridge
It seems that the eastern part of N.C. has a shortage of organizations to share knowledge about mushroom and plant foraging. It also would be nice to share time with like minded individuals. I'm just wondering if anyone else would be interested?
Cedric
I certainly would! I belonged to several groups in Spain and we learned a lot from each other and even when there were no mushrooms, had a lot of fun!
coastwx
John, I'm a bit west so not sure about a formal organization, but would love to do a hike sometime either down there on a Sat or Sun morning. You're certainly welcome to come and explore my main spot up this way.
John Smalldridge
I think at the very least, getting a few people together to do a group hunt would be nice. It would also be helpful to share knowledge about foraging. I found that my biggest obstacle to learning about mushrooms was that there was no one local I could turn to for help.
